Who We Are
Club Filipino Tauranga Inc. (CFTi) is a community organisation dedicated to celebrating Filipino heritage and unity in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. We serve as a hub for Filipino families, professionals, and newcomers — providing a welcoming space where culture thrives and friendships flourish.
Founded by passionate members of the Filipino-Kiwi community, CFTi has grown into a vibrant organisation that hosts cultural events, runs youth sports programmes, supports new migrants, and fosters multicultural connections across Tauranga.

To bring together the Filipino community in Tauranga through culture, sports, and friendship — strengthening the ties that bind us while embracing the multicultural spirit of Aotearoa New Zealand.

Cultural Pride — We celebrate and preserve Filipino heritage through traditional fiestas, cultural events, and modern gatherings that honour our roots.

Youth Development — Through basketball training, skills programmes, and mentorship, we invest in the next generation of Filipino-Kiwi leaders.
What We Do
Basketball Training — Every Friday at Aquinas College, we run a comprehensive youth basketball programme emphasising skills development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Cultural Events — From the Green & White Christmas Party to Matariki Meets Philippine Independence and our Search for Best Muse, we host events that celebrate two cultures and one community.
Migrant Support — We provide guidance, connections, and warm community support for newly arrived Filipinos settling in Tauranga and the Bay of Plenty.
PTB Kiddos @ WORK — A 7-week skills and conditioning programme in Matamata for ages 7–15, developing basketball fundamentals and confidence.
Multicultural Day — Filipino culture shines alongside other communities in Tauranga as we celebrate diversity and unity together.
Volunteer Recognition — We honour our dedicated community volunteers for their tireless service and contributions through our annual recognition awards.
